Opened in 1985 with a core of established Scottish artists, Hanover Fine Arts promotes a varied programme of mixed exhibitions alternating with small group or featured artist shows. Now at the heart of the New Town galleries, policy has expanded to include younger artists as well as those from abroad, particularly from the former Soviet bloc i.e. Ukraine, Russia, Lithuania; also Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, Germany, Holland, Japan and USA.
